During my recent visit to Cheltenham, I had the opportunity to stay at the Exceptional, Boutique Retreat Bath Road. This hotel impressed me with its convenient location, as it was the perfect choice for a transit stay during my travel. I appreciated the fact that the nearest airport was only 6 km away from the holiday home, making it incredibly convenient for travelers like myself.
While my overall experience at the Exceptional, Boutique Retreat Bath Road was quite positive, there were a few minor details that kept it from receiving a perfect score. One aspect that could be improved upon is the design of the door handles in the lower kitchen area.

I had a mind-blowing stay at this lovely, quirky boutique bolthole! The decor was super modern and the location was so central. We were just a short 10 to 12 minute walk away from the town center. There was a Sainsbury local close by, which was open from 7am to 11pm, making it incredibly convenient. The kitchen had great utensils and crockery, perfect for making breakfasts in, but we also enjoyed trying out the fantastic local eateries. On a sunny day, we loved sitting outside in the adorable little eating area. The rooms were spacious and having a room each was a bonus. The property itself was stunning, with its steel framed building and glass walls. And although there were a few minor issues, like a leaking shower and low water pressure, the overall standard of the place was jaw-dropping. The cleanliness was top-notch, with nice bedlinen and towels provided. The location was ideal, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and independent shops within walking distance. Plus, the option to bring pets and the no-smoking policy on-site were valuable bonuses. I highly recommend this place for a weekend getaway or a few days' stay.

The location of the hotel was great, with a nearby Sainsbury local and various local eateries. It was also a convenient 10 to 12 minute walk to the town center. The decor of the hotel was modern and quirky, making it a perfect spot for a girly weekend or a group getaway. the hotel had good utensils and crockery for making breakfasts in, as well as a lovely little outdoor area to enjoy a meal on a sunny day.
While the big details of the hotel were fine, there were some small details that could have been better. The lower kitchen doors had silly door handles, while the upper doors had none at all.

The value for money at this boutique retreat was exceptional. The room was beautifully designed, with a comfortable bed and clean linens. The location was great, within walking distance of cafes, restaurants, and shops. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The only thing that could have made the morning meal better was if there were more seating options in the bedrooms.
